Someone mentioned that at Smuggs if you rent from a Wyndham possessor and you stay nether 5 days y'all are assessed a cleaning fee. Has anyone ever heard of this? I was non told this when I called owner services when I was booking the rental through the Wyndham possessor. All they told me was that I could not apply my benefits, which I already knew. I booked a Wed to Sunday. That is 5 days, 4 nights in my book. Heck- when they sold us the one week they said information technology was 8 days, 7 nights ownership. I volition really lose it if this turns out to be true. I tin can't afford information technology and I volition exist embarrassed as my brother and his family are coming per my organization and they will be unaware of this besides. Non fifty-fifty sure how much it volition be. Someone said they heard it was over $200!! Could that be possible??!!

I never heard of that. That is what house keeping credits are for. Maybe this person is out of house keeping credits or he/she is adding this fee for a little extra cash like the airlines are doing these days. The resort doesn't charge a cleaning fee either mode.

You are misunderstanding. Information technology is supposedly the resort that is charging information technology at check-in.

Someone said they heard people that were very angry upon checking in- renting from Wyndham- not certain if that was private or through the company? And the forepart desk said they had to purchase a Smuggs Pass (which is true- that I know) if they desire to apply the civilities and would accept to pay $220 for a cleaning fee since they were staying under five days.

On an RCI points reservation, a HK fee can be accessed by the resort. If the room is booked with Wyndham points there shouldn't be a hk fee.

Phew! Cheers, Tracy. I was going to have a heart attack! I am sending an email to owner services to make sure. Ugh! Smuggs is getting likewise complicated to utilise exterior my ownership lately.

Is this driven past the HOA? What happens to the house keeping credits that are charged?

Well, evidently the people were checking into a Presidential Suite in the OWLS section (I believe they are all Presidentials in that building). I know zilch well-nigh the HOA's or anything. I believe Wyndham controls the OWLS-non sure. Where I am staying it is an HOA edifice. (I happen to own there likewise- just a fixed calendar week owner)

I stayed on Wyndham VIP points last Columbus Mean solar day weekend (3 nights)...no HK fees...stayed in a 2 bedroom in the Tamaracks section.

Did yous rent from a Wyndham owner though? Or used your own points? I am renting from a Wyndham points owner (who does not own at Smuggs specifically)

I don't need a pass. Nosotros do fee based activities, if nosotros do them at all. Just don't desire to pay a ridiculous housekeeping fee.

I had someone stay in that location Memorial day weekend (5 nights). No charge for HK.

Thanks, everyone! I finally got a response from owner services at the resort and they confirmed, as you all mentioned, that at that place is no cleaning fee when renting from a Wyndham owner- only RCI points. And I am thinking the people I was told about who had a problem at Smuggs might have rented direct from Wyndham.

Phew! :)
